About the assignment

We are looking for a project engineer in the railway sector for Trafikverket, who will work within the Investment business area. The unit is responsible for procurement, implementation, and follow-up of Trafikverket's larger renovations and new investments.

The assignment is linked to the national program NUVA, where Trafikverket is replacing level crossing systems along state railways. The projects include both design and construction of level crossing systems and are conducted nationally.

About the role

In the role of project engineer, you will support project management and contribute to driving the projects forward in a structured and efficient manner. You will be involved in several parts of the project implementation and have a central role in planning, follow-up, and coordination of various activities.

The work involves close collaboration with project managers, specialists, and other stakeholders in the projects. The role suits you if you enjoy a coordinating function where you combine structure, administration, and project support.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• working with project administration and support to project managers
• monitoring project finances, forecasts, and costs
• managing documentation, filing, and presentation materials
• planning and coordinating meetings and producing meeting notes and minutes
• contributing to the work with scheduling and follow-up of project activities
• monitoring the project's governing documents such as control programs and risk analyses
• participating in the review of delivered documents
• contributing to the projects' handover to management and maintenance operations
• ensuring structure and order in the project's digital document management

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibility.

1. Driver's license B.
2. University or college education of at least 180 credits (120 points) with a technical focus, or other education and work experience deemed equivalent.
3. Documented experience of working as a project engineer or in project management or equivalent. The work must have been carried out for at least 6 months in the last 2 years. In completed assignments, the work must have been carried out independently and with good collaboration. To meet the requirement, the offered consultant must have worked at least 75% of a full-time position. Verified with references.
4. Ability to express oneself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing.

Assignment information

The assignment is to start no later than May 11 and lasts for 1 year from the date the contract comes into force.

Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional year.

Scope: Estimated workload for the assignment is 100% of annual working time, equivalent to 1,700 hours.

The stationing location for the resource consultant is Gävle. Some remote work may be allowed by agreement.

This assignment occasionally requires travel for work to ongoing projects or other Trafikverket offices approximately 0–4 times per month.
